How it works
Develop confidence in high school wrestlers by drilling a three-move offensive chain until each link feels automatic.

Your focus
Confident wrestlers at the high school level know exactly what comes next after their first attack is defended. Drilling chains eliminates the hesitation that comes from not knowing what to do when Plan A fails. A wrestler with a reliable three-move chain enters matches with a clear offensive identity.
Drill a high-crotch attempt, partner defends.
Immediately transition to a double-leg based on the defense (snap down or level change).
If double is defended, immediately finish with an inside trip or go behind.
Run the full chain 10 times at increasing speed; coach scores fluency and confidence of transitions.
Goal
Success is executing the three-move chain without hesitation between moves, each link feels like the natural next thing to do.
Helpful cues
- No dead ends, always a next move
- Attack their defense, not the air
- Speed comes from certainty
