How it works
Build serve competition by structuring serving into a ladder tournament with real consequences.

Your focus
Serving in isolation does not replicate match pressure. The ladder format adds stakes , advancement, team contribution, standing , that raise the emotional intensity of every serve. Learning to perform under manageable pressure at this age builds the mental framework needed for high-stakes competition later.
Line players up in a serving ladder. Player 1 serves against Player 2 (one player serves, the other scores a point if serve is missed).
First to 3 serving wins moves up the ladder; loser stays.
Players rotate through the ladder 3 times.
Coach notes which players perform better under competition vs. solo practice.
Award a 'Best Clutch Serve' recognition to the player who performed best under pressure.
Goal
It's clicking when the ladder format makes you nervous to serve, that feeling means the stakes feel real.
Helpful cues
- Pressure is a privilege, only people who care feel it
- Take the same serve you practice into the ladder
- Breathe before you toss, control starts there
