How it works
Receive a piece of coaching feedback and apply it on the very next rep, no delay, no defense.
Your focus
Taking feedback without hesitation is a trainable skill. Most athletes filter corrections through ego before acting on them. This drill removes the filter by making immediate application the only measure. Coaches who see fast uptake give more feedback , it's a cycle that accelerates development.
Coach or partner gives one specific technical correction about your form or execution.
Respond only with 'Got it', no explaining, justifying, or defending.
Execute your very next rep with full intention of applying the correction.
Coach rates how well the correction was applied (1–5).
Player rates the same, compare the gap and discuss.
Goal
Player implements correction on first rep without prompting, matching coach's rating within one point.
Helpful cues
- Say 'got it' and move, not 'but...'
- First rep after feedback is a statement about who you are
- Uptake speed is a skill you can get better at
