Weak Foot

How it works

Pass to a wall with the weak foot and control the return with the weak foot, no dominant foot allowed.

What you need

  • soccer ball
  • wall

Your focus

Most players do weak foot drills but instinctively use their strong foot to control the return. This drill removes that option , both pass and control must use the weak foot, building true bilateral competence.

1

Stand 4 yards from a wall. Tape or mark the weak-foot-only zone.

2

Pass with weak foot. Control return with weak foot only.

3

15 passes in a row, weak foot every touch.

4

Rest 20 seconds. Do 3 sets.

5

Final challenge: 5 reps where you shoot after controlling, weak foot only.

Goal

You've got it when 12 of 15 passes return cleanly and your control sets up a second touch.

Helpful cues

  • Lean slightly over the ball on passes
  • Control to space, not back to your feet
  • Slow down if needed, accuracy first, then pace

Adjust the challenge

Make it easier

UpLVL it
