How it works

Score clinical goals from a variety of service types in a competitive game where only quality finishes count.

What you need

  • cones
  • soccer ball
  • scrimmage vests
  • goals

Your focus

Clinical finishing demands placement and composure , not just power. A scoring system that rewards quality placement over luck trains the decision-making and technical discipline that separates goal-scorers from players who just shoot.

1

4v4 game in the attacking half. Two keepers in the goals.

2

Only goals that hit the corners of the net count, wide open shots that are saved don't count.

3

Goals from first touch score double.

4

Goals from outside the box score triple.

5

Shanked or wayward shots result in a free kick for the opposition.

6

Play 15 minutes; track which players score most clinical goals.

Goal

Success is finishing at least 4 out of 6 chances cleanly across different service types, feet, volleys, headers, cutbacks. Clinical finishing means no wasted chances.

Helpful cues

  • Pick your corner, aim small, miss small
  • Clinical means placing it, not blasting it
  • First-time finish: you decided before you got the ball, trust the preparation
