How it works
Pass a ball at a wall and control the return, building the foundational mechanics of passing and receiving.
What you need
- soccer ball
- wall
Your focus
The wall is the best solo passing partner because it always gives the ball back. Repeating this simple exchange builds muscle memory of inside-foot passing and first-touch receiving.
Stand 3 yards from a wall with the ball at your feet.
Pass with the inside of your foot, the flat part near your arch.
Control the ball back with your other foot.
Pass again. Try to keep going for 20 passes in a row without stopping.
Count your best streak. Try to beat it.
Goal
You've got it when you can do 15 passes in a row without the ball getting away from you.
Helpful cues
- Flat foot, use the inside, not the toe
- Soft pass, not a kick
- Control it before you pass again
