Your focus
King of the ring creates tiered competitive pressure as more players are added. The combination of effort to retain possession and competitive drive to stay in the game builds match-relevant competitive qualities in a game format players find highly motivating.
Mark a 15x15 yard square. 4 players each dribble independently.
Players try to kick opponents' balls out of the square while keeping their own ball in.
Player whose ball goes out does 5 quick toe-taps and re-enters after 15 seconds.
Last player to keep their ball in the square after 2 minutes wins.
Track wins across multiple rounds.
Play 6 rounds; top winner wins the game.
Goal
It's working when you survive at least 3 challenges in a row while staying in the ring, possession under real pressure from multiple opponents.
Helpful cues
- Protect your ball with your body, don't let them reach it
- Attack others' balls when you're safe, not when yours is threatened
- Fight for every inch in that square
