How it works
Race a partner to score on goal from different starting positions, building competitive drive in a high-repetition format.

Your focus
Head-to-head competition triggers competitive drive. Finishing races that reset quickly and give both players many attempts maintain high competitive intensity, teaching players that drive and determination produce results.
Two players start side by side, 20 yards from goal, each with a ball.
On coach's signal, both sprint and shoot on the same goal.
First player to score earns 1 point.
Both retrieve balls and return to start immediately.
Play 15 rounds; track cumulative score.
Vary the starting position each round (left side, right side, central).
Goal
Success is beating your partner to the ball at least 3 out of 5 races, every rep starts with your first step being faster than theirs.
Helpful cues
- Sprint with the ball, don't slow down to shoot
- Commit to your side of the goal
- Even if you're behind, keep competing for every point
