Ball Mastery Circuit
Coordination & Body Control
Legend

How it works
Execute a ball mastery sequence (toe taps, inside touches, rolls, scissors) for 60 seconds to develop full body coordination.
What you need
- soccer ball
Your focus
Ball mastery exercises systematically develop the entire foot-to-brain coordination system. Repeated practice of touches in sequence builds the automatic, precise body control that allows players to focus on the game rather than the mechanics of the ball.
Player stands with ball. Coach calls one move every 15 seconds.
Move 1: toe taps, alternating foot taps on top of ball.
Move 2: inside touches, right inside, left inside, alternating.
Move 3: sole rolls, rolling ball side to side with the sole.
Move 4: scissors, right scissors, left scissors, alternating.
Complete 4 rounds of the full sequence; increase tempo each round.
Goal
You've got it when the full 60-second circuit runs through without stopping to think about which move comes next. The sequence becomes automatic.
Helpful cues
- Stay on the balls of your feet, flat feet lose the rhythm
- Quick light touches, not stomping
- Keep your body upright, don't lean over the ball
