How it works

Complete a multi-stage adversity gauntlet (conditioning + skill + competition) while maintaining performance quality throughout.

What you need

  • lacrosse stick
  • lacrosse ball
  • goal
  • cones
  • pinnies

Your focus

Elite resilience means sustained performance quality across physical fatigue, competitive failure, and time pressure simultaneously. The gauntlet format is the closest practice simulation to what athletes experience in high-stakes game moments.

1

Stage 1: Player completes 6 down-and-back sprints (40 yards each).

2

Stage 2: Immediately shoot 5 consecutive shots on goal (must make 3).

3

Stage 3: Immediately play a 1v1 against a fresh defender.

4

If Stage 2 or 3 standards aren't met, player repeats the failed stage. First full clean completion wins. Run each player twice.

Helpful cues

  • Physical fatigue is the test, your technique should survive it
  • Stage 3 after sprints and shooting is where most players mentally give up, don't be most players
  • Resilience is measured by your last stage quality, not your first

Adjust the challenge

Make it easier

Strip it back

Reduce to 3 sprints before the skill stages.

UpLVL it

Add the next challenge

Build a practice plan

Add drills, keep the plan in this browser, then share a link with your staff or parents.

This library helps you find the right drill. Inside UpLVL the right drill finds the player.

After every practice, UpLVL automatically surfaces the drills each player needs to work on most. See it for yourself.
