How it works
Demonstrate resilience by competing at full effort in a 4v4 game while trailing by a large deficit.

Your focus
The true test of resilience is competing hard when the scoreboard is discouraging. Young players often reduce effort when losing significantly. This drill creates that exact scenario and reinforces maximum effort regardless of the score.
Small-sided activity. Losing team starts down 0-5 in a game to 7.
Losing team must sustain visible maximum effort and positive body language throughout.
Coach awards 2 bonus points if the losing team wins 3 consecutive possessions (regardless of score).
Debrief: who showed the best resilience? What did it look like?
Helpful cues
- The score doesn't tell the whole story, your effort does
- Five down is a challenge, not a verdict
- Resilience shows most when winning seems impossible, that's when it counts the most
