Your focus
The final 2 minutes of a tied game tests both composure and resilience simultaneously. Players who train in these exact conditions perform significantly better when real end-game situations arise.
Set up a 6v6 scrimmage and begin with score tied, 2 minutes remaining.
Coach announces any stoppages as game situations: penalty, timeout, injury, each requiring a reset.
Team that scores wins the scrimmage session. Team that loses must do 10 conditioning reps.
Run 4 two-minute scenarios. Track what decision-making patterns emerge under pressure.
Goal
You're there when the quality of your execution in the final 2 minutes matches your execution at full rest, pressure is the filter; composure is what passes through it.
