Your focus
The contrast between silent and loud play creates visceral understanding of how much communication contributes to team performance. Players who experience both conditions learn to value vocal play rather than just being told to communicate.
Play a 4v4 scrimmage for 3 minutes with no talking allowed.
Play another 4v4 scrimmage for 3 minutes with mandatory verbal communication on every action.
Count scores and loose ball wins in each condition.
Debrief: what was easier or harder in each condition and why.
Goal
Success is noticing, without being told, that the loud scrimmage produced more clean possessions and fewer turnovers. That's the benchmark: the game looks different when you talk.
