What you need
- cones

- lacrosse ball
Your focus
A riding opponent tries to slow the clear by taking away lanes. This slalom drill simulates reading and navigating a ride , building the dodge-and-carry skills that get the ball upfield under pressure.
Set up 4 cones in a zigzag pattern across 20 yards, simulating riding attackers.
Start behind the defensive end line with the ball.
Carry the ball through the zigzag, switching hands at each cone.
Accelerate out of the last cone through the midfield line.
6 reps. Count clean hand switches (no drops).
Goal
You've got it when you navigate all 5 cones and reach the end without losing the ball, switching hands at each cone.
Helpful cues
- Change hands at every cone, don't carry the whole way with one hand
- Keep your head up through the ride, see the open lane early
- Accelerate after the last cone, finish the clear with speed
