This drill replicates that demand in a single play, grading the full decision-making process rather than any isolated element. Players who can execute complete decision-making cycles under pressure are the most valuable QBs in flag football.
QB faces a 5-receiver set against a full 5-player defense with no pre-indication of coverage or blitz.
QB has 5 seconds pre-snap to identify the coverage type, identify any blitz threat, and signal any needed adjustments.
QB takes the snap and executes the full decision-making sequence: read coverage, work progression, adjust if needed, deliver.
Coach grades pre-snap process (3 points) and post-snap decision quality (3 points), maximum 6 points per rep.
