Your focus
Team confidence rituals (huddle, chant, shared affirmation) prime collective belief before competitive situations. The psychological priming effect of a ritual improves individual performance within the team context. Making confidence a team culture norm ensures it is not dependent on one or two leaders.
Team creates a 60-second pre-scrimmage ritual together (huddle, phrase, motion).
Perform the ritual as a full team before starting a 10-minute high-intensity scrimmage.
After the scrimmage, rate team confidence on a 1-10 scale.
Compare ritual vs. no-ritual scrimmage energy levels over multiple sessions.
Helpful cues
- The ritual works because you make it mean something
- Collective confidence raises everyone's ceiling
- Go into every battle believing you belong there
