How it works
Develop elite-level sustained pressure wrestling through live rounds where the goal is to score through relentless physical and mental pressure rather than a single attack.

Your focus
The highest level of pressure wrestling combines physical inside position, hand control, forward drive, and psychological intensity into a single unified offensive posture that never relents. Training this deliberately develops the mental stamina to maintain pressure for an entire match, not just bursts. Wrestlers who apply this style become exponentially harder to beat as their careers advance because it requires both superior conditioning and technical skill to counter.
Begin a 3-minute live round with the explicit directive: score through sustained pressure, not a single spectacular shot.
Wrestler focuses on maintaining constant inside hand position, chest contact, and forward body drive for the full 3 minutes.
Takedowns and exposure points scored through this style count double in the debrief evaluation.
After the round, coach rates the wrestler's pressure on 5 criteria: inside position, chest contact, forward drive, hand activity, and mental intensity. Each rated 1-5.
Goal
It's real when your relentless pressure creates scoring opportunities without a single planned shot, you wore them down, then scored.
Helpful cues
- Pressure is a posture, not a moment, hold it for 3 minutes
- When they feel you never stop, they start making mistakes, that's your opening
