Your focus
Structured live rounds with active recovery intervals simulate match conditions and build match-specific endurance. Active recovery , light movement rather than passive rest , keeps the cardiovascular system primed and prevents stiffness between rounds. Wrestlers develop the ability to come back strong after each period.
Pair wrestlers of similar weight; each pair wrestles for 90 seconds at 70-80% intensity.
At the whistle, both wrestlers immediately begin 30 seconds of active recovery: jogging in place, arm circles, or light shadowboxing.
Return to neutral stance and start the next round without a complete stop.
Complete 4-6 rounds total, tracking effort level and technique quality across rounds.
Goal
Success is your last live round looking like your first, active recovery between rounds actually restores your effort level.
Helpful cues
