How it works
Develop competitive drive and finishing effort by requiring wrestlers to complete every scramble to a decisive conclusion.

Your focus
Many wrestlers accept scramble stalemates because they lack the drive to push through uncomfortable positions to a finish. Training to finish every scramble builds the competitive mindset that a neutral position is a lost opportunity, not an acceptable outcome. Wrestlers who always drive for the finish score more in actual matches.
Both wrestlers start in a scramble, neither has control.
The round does not stop until one wrestler achieves a clear dominant position or takedown.
No backing out, no disengaging, both must compete to a conclusion.
Rotate partners every three conclusions; coach tracks who drives hardest for the finish.
Goal
Success is every scramble ending in a decided position, no one disengages, no one lets it fizzle out.
Helpful cues
- Don't leave the scramble, finish it
- The one who wants it more wins the scramble
- Messy but decisive is better than neat but neutral
