How it works
Build competitive drive by rewarding wrestlers who successfully come back from a scored-on situation.

Your focus
Competitive drive is most tested when a wrestler is behind, and the habit of competing harder when scored on must be trained explicitly. This drill reframes being scored on as the trigger for increased drive rather than discouragement. Wrestlers who develop comeback drive are significantly more dangerous opponents in late-match situations.
Partner scores the first takedown, working wrestler is immediately down two points.
Ninety-second live round; working wrestler must outscore the partner to win.
Coach tracks comebacks vs. non-comebacks across the session.
Celebrate every successful comeback, highlight the effort that created it.
Goal
It's clicking when getting scored on makes you immediately more dangerous, the comeback is the drive.
