How it works
Build competitive intensity and urgency by repeatedly drilling the high-pressure scenario of a tie score with 30 seconds remaining.

Your focus
Many young wrestlers lack experience competing at their highest level in close matches and often freeze or play it safe when the score is tied late. Repeating this specific scenario in practice makes it familiar and less intimidating, so athletes have a pre-wired response of attacking when the moment arrives in competition. The emotional rehearsal of a tie-game situation is as important as the physical rehearsal.
Set a timer for 30 seconds.
Two wrestlers start from a neutral tie-up position with score announced as 0-0.
Both wrestlers compete at maximum intensity to score any point before time expires.
Rest 20 seconds and reset; complete 8-10 reps per pair.
Goal
It's clicking when the 30-second tie scenario makes you feel urgency, your body moves faster because the situation demands it.
