How it works
Integrate all team communication and teamwork habits into a competitive scrimmage evaluated by a designated observer.

Your focus
The final measure of communication and teamwork is whether it holds under competitive pressure. Having an external observer track specific communication metrics during a live scrimmage provides objective data and creates accountability. Teams that perform well in evaluated scrimmages consistently transfer those habits to real matches.
Designate one player from each team as the Communication Observer (rotates every set).
Observer tracks on a clipboard: ball calls made, block calls made, setter communications, encouragement after errors, and transition calls.
Run three sets to 25 points with real rally scoring and full competitive intensity.
After each set, observer presents data: 'We made 18 out of 25 required calls. We missed calls on serve receive seams in the third rotation.'
Team sets one specific communication goal to improve in the next set.
