How it works
Train advanced players to make optimal shot selections under match-pressure scores by reading opponent positioning and their own court situation simultaneously.

Your focus
Advanced juniors often revert to their most comfortable (rather than most correct) shot under pressure, leading to predictable patterns the opponent can exploit. Deliberate practice of diverse shot selections from pressure scores with immediate feedback trains adaptive tactical thinking. This is the difference between having a game plan and being able to execute it under fire.
All points begin at a pressure score called by the coach (e.g., 30-40, ad-out); both players know the stakes before the point starts.
After each point, the player who lost must verbally describe what shot selection error (if any) contributed to the loss, not a stroke error but a decision error.
Coach confirms or challenges the self-assessment, adding a tactical alternative the player should have chosen.
Play 20 pressure points; player builds a personal decision log identifying their two or three most common decision errors under pressure.
Goal
It's there when your shot choices make sense even under pressure, you can explain why you went crosscourt or down the line without second-guessing yourself.
