How it works
Build composure during tiebreakers by teaching and rehearsing a personalized pre-point routine that players use on every tiebreaker point.

Your focus
Tiebreakers are uniquely pressure-packed because every point can swing the match, making them ideal for composure training. A personalized routine that a player has rehearsed feels natural and accessible precisely when anxiety is highest. Consistent routine use trains players to narrow their focus to the present point rather than the future score.
Coach helps each player design a four-element routine: (1) slow walk to the end line, (2) a physical action (adjust strings, bounce ball), (3) deep breath, (4) one-word focus cue.
Player practices the routine 10 times in a row without hitting any balls, purely as a physical rehearsal.
Players play a full 7-point tiebreaker; coach watches for routine use and freezes play if a player skips the routine.
After the tiebreaker, each player self-rates their composure level (1-5) and identifies which point they were least composed.
Helpful cues
- Your routine is your anchor, use it on every single point
- Slow is smooth and smooth is fast, slow your routine down under pressure
- Your focus cue word, say it like you mean it
