How it works
Sprint end-to-end with the ball in transition runs to develop maximum effort habits across the full field.

- goal
Your focus
Sustained effort across the full field , not just in 10-yard bursts , builds the engine and the habit of running hard for the entire game. Young players who learn to sprint in transition become full-field contributors rather than positional specialists.
Place two goals 40 yards apart.
Player starts at one goal with the ball.
Player sprints with the ball to the far goal and shoots.
Immediately retrieve the ball and sprint back, finishing on the original goal.
No walking, every run is at maximum effort.
Complete 6 full-field runs; rest 90 seconds between sets of 2.
Goal
It's working when your sprint time on rep 8 is within a second of rep 1. Slowing down toward the end means the effort level dropped.
Helpful cues
- Pump your arms, your legs follow your arms
- Ball slightly ahead of you at full speed, don't overrun it
- Every sprint like it's the last minute of the game
