How it works
Dribble to color-coded cones by calling out the color before moving to build verbal communication habits.
What you need

Your focus
Young players are naturally quiet on the field. Building the habit of calling out loud during even simple activities creates the foundation for the game communication that becomes essential as soccer grows more complex.
Place cones of different colors around a 15x15 yard space.
Each player dribbles freely.
Coach or a leader calls a color, players must dribble to that color as fast as possible.
Before touching the cone, each player must call out the color name loudly.
Last player to call and touch the cone sits out one round.
Play for 5 minutes with different color sequences.
Goal
You're doing it right when you call the color out loud before you start moving, not after. The call comes first, then your feet follow.
