How it works
Guide a blindfolded partner through a cone obstacle course using only verbal communication.
What you need

Your focus
When vision is removed, verbal communication becomes the only tool. This drill forces players to develop clear, precise, and timely verbal cues , exactly the communication quality needed in real matches where a teammate cannot see the full picture.
Set up a simple cone obstacle course 15 yards long.
Player A is blindfolded; Player B stands beside them as guide.
Player A dribbles through the course guided only by Player B's verbal instructions.
Player B cannot touch the ball or the player, voice only.
Swap roles after completing the course.
Debrief: what instructions were clearest? What was confusing?
Goal
Success is getting your partner through the course without them touching a single cone. If they're stumbling, your words weren't clear enough, try again.
Helpful cues
- Be specific, 'left a bit' is better than just 'left'
- Give the instruction BEFORE they need it, not when they're already off course
- Short words, clear voice, don't overload them
