How it works
Maintain a passing triangle while moving across the field, requiring constant communication and coordinated movement.
What you need

Your focus
Triangular passing is the geometric foundation of team soccer. Practicing it while moving forces players to communicate their positions and time their movements , core skills for effective teamwork in possession.
Groups of 3 form a triangle. One ball between them.
Group passes in a triangle pattern while walking across the field.
After each pass, the passer calls the name of the next receiver.
The triangle must move 40 yards up the field and back without losing the pattern.
Progress to jogging; then add one defender who tries to intercept.
Count consecutive successful passes per group.
Goal
You've got it when the triangle stays visible and in shape across the field without players bunching up, every pass goes to someone already moving into the right spot.
Helpful cues
- Call the name before you pass, not at the same time
- Move to create a new angle immediately after passing
- The triangle shape should stay even, no clustering
