How it works
Maintain a designated team shape during possession play using constant verbal and non-verbal communication.

Your focus
Team shape in possession is maintained by communication, not coincidence. Players who understand how to call for compactness, width, or depth build the teamwork literacy that allows coaches to implement complex tactical systems effectively.
Assign a 4-3-3 possession shape to one team in a bounded space.
Team with the ball must maintain their positional structure while circulating possession.
Players must verbally call when they are out of position and who needs to adjust.
Coach freezes the game every 2 minutes to evaluate shape quality.
Points are awarded for maintaining shape for 5 consecutive passes.
Run for 15 minutes with roles switching after 7 minutes.

- Shape is a team responsibility, everyone communicates
- If you see a gap, call who should fill it
- Compact in defense, wide in attack, call the transition
