Your focus
Binary decision training is the entry point for developing game-ready decision-making. Young players who practice choosing between two options before acting develop scanning habits that carry forward to more complex decisions.
Ball carrier stands in the middle with two receivers at 45-degree angles, 8 yards away.
A third player acts as a 'blocker' standing in front of one of the receivers.
Ball carrier must quickly identify and pass to the open receiver.
Blocker position changes every 3 reps. Complete 12 total passes.
Goal
You've got it when you know which target you're passing to before the ball arrives in your stick. The decision is pre-made, not reactive.
Helpful cues
- Look at BOTH receivers before you throw
- See the blocker, choose the other person
- Quick eyes, quick pass
