Juggle and Cradle
Coordination & Body Control
Legend
- player
- tennis ball
How it works
Coordinate upper body and lower body independently by juggling a small ball with the free hand while cradling with the stick.
What you need
- lacrosse stick
- lacrosse ball
- small juggling ball or tennis ball
Your focus
Developing independent limb coordination , one hand doing one thing while the other does something different , directly improves the body control needed for dodging while maintaining possession.
Player holds lacrosse stick in dominant hand and cradles in place.
With the free hand, player tosses and catches a tennis ball.
Continue for 30 seconds, then switch cradling hand.
Complete 4 rounds total.
Goal
It's clicking when the juggling hand and the cradling hand stay independent, one doesn't stop when the other moves. That independence is the whole point.
Helpful cues
- Let each hand work independently, don't sync them
- Keep the cradle smooth even when your other hand gets busy
- Soft eyes, take in both objects without fixating on one
