Ball Handling
Legend

How it works
Throw against a wall and catch on alternating sides to develop right-hand and left-hand receiving.
What you need
- wall
- lacrosse stick
- ball
Your focus
Most players heavily favor one side. Alternating wall ball forces both hands to receive and throw equally, creating the balanced ball handling needed to dodge and pass from anywhere.
Stand 5 yards from a smooth wall.
Throw with your right hand, catch with your left hand.
Immediately throw back with your left hand, catch with your right.
Alternate sides for 30 consecutive catches.
Rest 30 seconds and repeat for 3 sets.
Goal
You've got it when you complete 30 consecutive alternating catches with no drops on 3 of 3 sets.
Helpful cues
- Meet the ball, don't wait for it to come to you
- Soft hands on the catch: give with the stick
- Quick transfer, catch and throw in one motion
