How it works
Identify which route a receiver ran based on cone markers, building defensive route recognition.

Defenders who can identify routes quickly know where the ball is going before it gets there. Building a route recognition library gives you a step of anticipation on every play.
Parent sets 3 cones showing a receiver route path (curl, out, go).
Player looks at the cones and names the route.
Parent confirms. Walk through why the cone shape shows that route.
8 routes total, use at least 4 different route types.
Progress: identify the route AND state the correct defensive coverage for it.
Goal
You've got it when you correctly name 7 of 8 routes and can state the correct coverage for at least 5.

- Match the route to a name before moving
- Think: what coverage beats this route?
