How it works
Develop listening focus by having young players execute a play exactly as called after hearing it one time in a huddle.

Your focus
Young players frequently miss or misremember play calls because their focus wanders during the huddle. Requiring single-listen execution builds the habit of tuning in completely during the most important communication window. Focused listening in the huddle is the foundation of all flag football execution.
Coach calls a simple play in the huddle one time; players may not ask for a repeat.
All players line up and execute the play exactly as called.
After each play, coach confirms with each player what their assignment was before praising execution.
Run 8 plays; track how often each player correctly recalled and executed their assignment.
Helpful cues
- Listen the first time as if there is no second time
- Lock your eyes on the caller in the huddle
- Remembering your assignment is focus, not luck
