How it works
Build flag football-specific endurance by simulating the burst-and-recover rhythm of actual play with short sprints and active recovery walks.

Your focus
Flag football is an interval sport: explosive plays followed by huddles and resets. Training the burst-and-recover energy system specifically prepares players for the real physiological demands of the game. Players with game-specific endurance make fewer mental and physical errors late in games.
Mark a 20-yard zone; players sprint the 20 yards at 90% effort (simulating a play).
Walk back to the start for recovery (simulating huddle and set time, approximately 20-25 seconds).
On the coach whistle, sprint again; complete 10 sprint reps with walk recovery.
After the set, sit in a circle and discuss where fatigue first appeared and how to manage it.
Goal
You're there when each sprint burst in the circuit feels close to the last one, not dying out after the third rep.
Helpful cues
- Sprint the play, recover in the huddle
- Save your energy for the sprint, use the walk to breathe
- Endurance means being fast on play 10, not just play 1

Build a practice plan
Add drills, keep the plan in this browser, then share a link with your staff or parents. This library helps you find the right drill. Inside UpLVL the right drill finds the player.
After every practice, UpLVL automatically surfaces the drills each player needs to work on most. See it for yourself.
