How it works
Perfect blitz timing and pursuit angles so rushers can pressure the QB within the legal flag-pulling window before the throw is released.

Your focus
A well-timed blitz in flag football is one of the most effective defensive tools , arriving at the QB one second too early or too late makes it ineffective. Rushers must take the correct pursuit angle to avoid being blocked by passing receivers or running out of the play. Perfecting blitz timing requires repetition with attention to both path and clock.
Rushers align 7 yards from the QB; QB takes snap and has a 3-second throwing window before flag rushers engage.
Rushers take their designated pursuit angle (outside contain or inside A-gap) and time their arrival for the end of the 3-second window.
If the rushers pull the flag within the window, it counts as a defensive success.
Run 10 reps varying the rush timing and angle; grade the percentage of timed sacks vs. early arrivals (wasted) or late arrivals (QB got the throw off).

You're doing it right when your blitz arrives at the QB's flag zone at exactly the right time, not early, not late.

- Attack the correct lane, don't freelance your rush path

- Contain the edges, don't let the QB escape your lane
