How it works
Develop QB composure by throwing under simulated pass rush pressure while maintaining accuracy and decision-making.

- flags
- cones
Your focus
A QB who panics under pressure rushes throws and forces bad decisions , composure directly affects accuracy. Repeated practice with a simulated rush builds the habit of setting the feet and delivering on time regardless of pressure. Composed QBs make better decisions than athletic ones who lose their composure.
QB sets up in shotgun; two rushers (flag pullers) come from the outside on each snap.
QB has a 3-count to identify and throw to an open receiver before rushers can pull the flag.
Coach grades both accuracy of the throw and composure of the pre-throw decision process (no pump fakes when no rusher is present, no panic rolls).
Run 8 reps; note whether composure improves across the series.
Goal
You've got it when your throw under simulated pressure lands where you aimed, same accuracy as an open throw, not forced or high.
Helpful cues
- Slow your eyes down even as the rush speeds up
- Feet set before you throw, don't rush the release
- Trust your read and deliver, composure is earned by process, not prayer
Adjust the challenge
Make it easier
Strip it back
Have rushers give a 2-step delay before rushing to give QB more time.UpLVL it
Add the next challenge
Remove one receiver so the QB must work through a full progression under rush.No account needed
