How it works
Test individual composure by introducing a scripted series of personal setbacks within a live drive and measuring the quality of subsequent decisions.

- flags

Your focus
Composure is easy when things are going well , it is revealed when personal mistakes stack up. Players who maintain execution quality after consecutive personal setbacks are composure leaders who elevate their team. Identifying which situations threaten individual composure allows targeted practice before game day.
Select one player to be the 'subject'; coach scripts that this player will have a dropped pass, an incomplete route, and a flag pull all in the same drive.
Run the drive live; after each personal setback, coach immediately asks the player their next assignment so there's no rumination.
Grade the player's composure after each setback on a 1-5 scale (body language, communication, execution quality on the very next play).
Debrief privately with the player after the drive; celebrate composure moments and identify growth areas.
Helpful cues
- Composure is your next play, that's all
- After every setback: chin up, confirm assignment, go execute
- The best players look exactly the same after a mistake as after a touchdown
