Your focus
Individual competitive matchups create accountability that team drills cannot , every player must bring their compete level because there is nowhere to hide. Clear win-loss outcomes teach players to handle both winning and losing with maturity. Repeated competitive individual reps build the mental toughness needed in game situations.
Pair players by size; one receives a pass in a 5-yard by 15-yard lane, one plays flag defense.
QB throws; receiver tries to reach the end zone without having a flag pulled.
Winner is declared after each rep; both players must acknowledge the result maturely ('Good play') before resetting.
Run a bracket-style tournament over 10 reps; track each player's record and competitive attitude separately.
Goal
Success is pulling the flag cleanly or creating separation in the 1v1, a clear winner every rep.
