How it works
Develop composure and resilience by immediately pursuing rebounds after a blocked penalty corner shot.

- field hockey sticks
- field hockey ball
- goal
- goalkeeper gear
Your focus
Resilience in set pieces means not giving up after the first shot is stopped. Players who stay composed and hungry after a block score more second-chance goals. Training rebound pursuit as a specific skill reinforces the mental habit of never stopping until the whistle.
Set up standard penalty corner; add a wall board or goalkeeper to create realistic blocks.
First shot is hit; attacker who doesn't shoot immediately crashes for the rebound.
On the rebound, player must maintain composure and take a controlled second shot.
Run 15 reps; award bonus points for goals from rebounds only.
Goal
Success is pouncing on the rebound after a blocked penalty corner and converting it, second-effort finishes count.
