Your focus
Lower-body strength is the physical foundation of all basketball athleticism , jumping, defending, and driving all require leg strength. Wall sits are safe, scalable, and effective for young athletes because they develop strength without equipment or spinal loading. Making it competitive increases effort and maximum benefit.
Players sit against the wall in a 90-degree squat position with back flat and knees over ankles.
Last player to break position wins the round. Coach counts seconds for everyone.
Rest 60 seconds between rounds. Complete 3 rounds.
Track personal records, celebrate every player who beats their previous best time.
Goal
You've got it when you hold the wall sit for a full minute, the last 20 seconds are the ones that count. Thighs burning means the work is happening.
