How it works
Sustain concentrated focus for an entire 2-minute game simulation where every lapse in focus results in a penalty.

Your focus
Sustained attention over 2 minutes of competitive play mirrors the mental demand of a critical game possession sequence. Players who can maintain unbroken focus for this duration are dramatically more effective in late-game situations. Focus is a trainable skill, and this drill provides concentrated focus practice.
Play 3v3 half-court for exactly 2 minutes. A coach observes only (doesn't coach, only monitors).
Any player who loses focus, ball watching on the wrong side, wrong defensive rotation, forgetting assignment, is called out.
Called-out player loses a focus point. Team with most focus points at the end wins.
Immediately debrief: when did focus lapses happen? What triggered them?
Goal
It's working when you get through the full 2 minutes without a focus penalty, consistent execution across every possession, even when the game slows down or speeds up.
Helpful cues
- Where is the ball AND where is my player, both questions at once
- Focused players see what lazy players miss
- Two minutes is not long, stay locked in for the entire 120 seconds
