How it works

Your focus
Self-awareness is the highest form of coachability. Players who can diagnose their own mistakes and create corrective plans develop exponentially faster. Film study at this age builds the analytical habits that elite college and professional players use throughout their careers.
Record player performing a specified skill (e.g., pull-up jumper) for 10 reps.
Player and coach watch footage together. Player must identify one specific technical flaw.
Player articulates a correction: 'My elbow flares on the release, I'll tuck it.'
Player performs 15 corrected reps immediately. Re-film and compare.
Helpful cues
- See it, say it, fix it, that's the coachability loop
- Be honest with yourself, good players don't make excuses on film
- The fix starts with the right diagnosis
