How it works
Reward positive effort and attitude by awarding hustle points during a small-sided game.

Your focus
Young players respond to recognition, and tying rewards to attitude shapes lasting character habits. When hustle is celebrated equally with scoring, players internalize effort as a core value. This drill creates a culture where attitude is visibly valued.
Play a small-sided activity small-sided game. Coach acts as referee and attitude judge.
Hustle points are awarded for diving for loose balls, sprinting back on defense, and encouraging teammates.
Points from hustle count equally to basket points on the scoreboard.
After 5 minutes, review who earned the most hustle points and why.
