How it works
Train players to read live opponent court positioning mid-rally and choose the tactically optimal shot selection in real time.

Your focus
Intermediate players at 14-18 often make shot selections based on habit rather than real-time information. Reading opponent positioning and adjusting the shot accordingly is a core competency for competitive tennis. Drilling this skill in live-point scenarios accelerates the development of match intelligence.
Play live crosscourt groundstroke points; both players start with one mandatory crosscourt ball before the point opens up.
Designate a watcher coach who observes and calls 'Down the line available!' whenever one player moves so far crosscourt that the line is open.
The player must react to the call within one shot; if they take the opportunity successfully, they earn a bonus point.
After 20 points, replay all 'Down the line available!' moments using video or verbal recall to analyze correct versus missed reads.
Goal
You're there when you change your shot mid-rally because your opponent moved, not by accident, but because you saw the opening and took it.

- Peripheral vision, always know where they are!
- Open court is invitation, accept it with the right ball!
- You saw it; trust what you saw.
