How it works
Develop equal proficiency passing and catching with both hands through a structured wall ball circuit.
What you need
- lacrosse stick
- lacrosse ball
- wall
Your focus
Players who can pass and cradle equally well with both hands are nearly impossible to overplay defensively. Developing ambidextrous stick skills at the intermediate level creates a significant advantage that compounds as competition increases.
Station 1 (3 min): All dominant-hand wall ball from 10 yards.
Station 2 (3 min): All non-dominant hand wall ball from 8 yards.
Station 3 (3 min): Alternate hands every 5 passes.
Station 4 (2 min): Non-dominant hand only, attempt to match dominant hand accuracy from Station 1.
Goal
You're there when your off-hand wall ball stats approach your dominant hand stats, the gap should be narrowing every session.
Helpful cues
- Your non-dominant hand is only behind because you've given it less time, fix that
- Accuracy matters more than speed on the weak hand, build the mechanics first
- By the end of this circuit, the gap between your hands should be smaller
Adjust the challenge
Make it easier
Strip it back
Reduce wall ball distance by 2 yards on the non-dominant hand station.UpLVL it
Add the next challenge
