Your focus
Advanced stick skill development requires stringing together multiple technical demands in one continuous sequence. This replicates the variety of stick skill calls a player experiences in a single possession and trains adaptability and technique under fatigue.
One-handed dominant catch (10 reps).
Behind-the-back release (10 reps).
Overhand alternating hands (20 reps).
Quick-stick (catch and immediately release without cradling, 20 reps). Complete the full sequence within 5 minutes without stopping.
Goal
It's clicking when you maintain intensity and clean catches for the full 5-minute block, no reps phoned in at the end because you're tired.
Helpful cues
- Each transition between techniques must be seamless, no setup pauses
- Quick-stick is the hardest: receive and release in under one second
- If you drop the ball, pick it up and continue, no restarting the sequence
