How it works

Develop total-body coordination and core strength by bear crawling while pushing a lacrosse ball with the nose of a stick.

What you need

  • lacrosse ball

Your focus

Bear crawl movements build shoulder stability, core rigidity, and cross-lateral coordination. Using the stick to guide the ball connects athleticism training to sport-specific equipment handling.

1

Player gets into bear crawl position (hands and feet, knees 2 inches off ground).

2

A lacrosse ball is placed in front of the player.

3

Player holds stick in one hand and uses the butt end to nudge the ball forward while crawling 15 yards.

4

Return and switch hands. Complete 4 trips.

Goal

It's working when the ball stays in front of you and the crawl stays low, arms and legs moving together, not fighting each other.

Helpful cues

  • Keep hips level, don't rock side to side
  • Move opposite arm and leg at the same time
  • Short controlled nudges on the ball
