How it works
Weave through a line of cones while maintaining a basic cradle.
What you need
- lacrosse stick
- lacrosse ball
- cones
Your focus
Early-age agility work builds neuromuscular coordination between footwork and stick skills. Combining movement with cradling teaches young players to control the ball under mild physical challenge.
Set up 5 cones in a straight vertical line, about 3 feet apart.
Player starts at one end with ball in stick.
Player weaves left and right around each cone, cradling throughout.
Return to start and repeat three times.
Goal
You've got it when you weave through every cone without the ball falling out of your stick and without slowing down to cradle harder between gates.
Helpful cues
- Keep your eyes up, not on the ball
- Short choppy steps around each cone
- Cradle smoothly, don't let the ball pop out
