How it works

Execute a fully scripted 10-play team drive where communication breakdowns are tracked and corrected in real time through team accountability.

What you need

  • football
  • flags
  • cones

Your focus

A scripted drive tests whether communication and teamwork hold up across multiple plays without resetting to a clean slate. Advanced teams must sustain communication quality through accumulating fatigue and in-game adjustments. Peer accountability , where players identify each other's communication lapses , builds a communication culture that transfers to game day.

1

Prepare a 10-play script with a mix of pass plays, run plays, and no-huddle plays; share it only with the QB and coaches.

2

Run the full 10-play script live against a defense; after each play, the QB names one communication success and one breakdown.

3

Teammates who missed a call must run back to the huddle faster on the next play (hustle consequence, not punitive).

4

After all 10 plays, the group grades overall communication quality and identifies three teamwork improvements for the next script.

Helpful cues

  • Ten plays of connected communication, that's a championship drive
  • Own the breakdown and fix it, don't carry it to the next play
  • Every player on the same page = unstoppable

Adjust the challenge

Make it easier

Strip it back

Allow the QB to share the full script with all players before the drive so there are no surprises.

UpLVL it

Add the next challenge

Defense receives their own scripted adjustments after play 5, requiring the offense to adapt their communication mid-drive.

Build a practice plan

Add drills, keep the plan in this browser, then share a link with your staff or parents.

This library helps you find the right drill. Inside UpLVL the right drill finds the player.

After every practice, UpLVL automatically surfaces the drills each player needs to work on most. See it for yourself.
